DIGITAL WORK
DIGITAL
SERIES
A collection of tattoo designs I created over the course of 2022. I like learning about human anatomy, and drawing tattoos forced me to consciously think about the way the human body moves and stretches.
I wanted to create a mini narrative through the “Little Love Stories”, giving this pair a true romance that viewers can easily understand without text. I like that they have their own personalities despite the overly simplified style of the artwork itself. This project also helped me strengthen my storytelling abilities through visuals.
I wanted this trio to have a good sense of cohesion. In a perfect world, the three images would be next to each other hanging on a wall. A series of the same elements in a different order makes for more visual interest. I had a lot of fun working on this little series and am thinking of selling them as prints!
This duo turned out a lot different than how it started. I am so glad that I kept working with these pieces, because it took many drafts to get to the finish line. My favorite part of this process was creating a sense of dimension using shade and lighting.
My goal with this series was to make a cohesive image that fills the entire workspace. I wanted to see what I could do when working with a set canvas size instead of the limitless canvas a body can serve for tattoos. The set space I worked in for these projects made for a fun challenge, and I like the way they came out.
ANIMATION
PROJECTS
"Snowman" Final Animation 2023
This was my first ever project using Maya! I had never animated anything before my Animation Basics class this past semester, but I have grown to really enjoy it! I plan to minor in animation because of how much a enjoyed this course. "Snowman" was my final project for this class, the prompt asking us to model and animate a character performing an act for a talent show. The stage and lights were provided, but this gave us the chance to design everything else!
Flour Sack Animation 2023
A simple flour sack 2D animation I made for my Animation Basics course. 2D animating on Clip Studio quickly became my favorite concept we learned in the basics class, and I want to take more classes in the future.
Ball-Bounce Animation 2023
The assignment for the Ball-Bounce project was to animate two different kinds of balls to compare how they move based on their mass. I chose a bouncy-ball and a yoga ball to focus on.
